Surf's Up! LIND Debuts Cutting-Edge Electric Surfboard

December 13, 2024

As the year draws to a close, LIND’s official launch in 2024 has made a significant impact across the worlds of electric surfing, art, and ocean conservation, and we are thrilled to have played a key role in their journey.

One of the year's most exciting moments was the official launch of the LIND Canvas, the brand’s highly anticipated first stock release. Inspired by California’s surf culture and Sweden’s minimalist design ethos, the LIND Canvas seamlessly blends cutting-edge electric technology with exceptional design, offering an unparalleled surfing experience wherever there is water. To support this launch, we worked diligently to secure rich media coverage in publications such as Robb Report, New Atlas, Electrek, and The Grid, just to name a few.

In September, LIND made their debut at the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival, offering a first look at their custom art boards alongside the LIND Canvas. This event marked the beginning of their global exhibition, A New Way to Play, which showcased collaborations with 12 of the world’s most renowned contemporary artists and board shapers, including Terry Urban, Jessica Kayll, Lucas Beaufort, and Chris Burkard. The exhibition went on to make stops at major yachting events, including the Monaco Yacht Show and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, we secured an alignment with Informa, the organizers of the show, to showcase the boards in two key VIP areas. We conceptualized a high-profile panel discussion titled A New Way to Play: Protecting Our Ocean Playgrounds, moderated by BOAT International Superyachts Editor Katia Damborsky. Panelists, including executives from Feadship, Winch Design, and Oceanic Global, explored the intersection of design, technology, and ocean conservation —a cause close to LIND’s heart.

The exhibition culminated during Miami Art Week with a showcase at The Standard, Miami Beach. This event also featured an online public and private live auction of the custom art boards, with proceeds benefiting Oceanic Global’s efforts to protect our oceans.

Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited for the next chapter in LIND’s journey. In Q1, the brand will make its first customer deliveries, as well as begin offering media demos of their boards, allowing journalists to experience firsthand the cutting-edge technology and exceptional design that have made the brand a trailblazer in the electric surfing world.
